Dorothy (Siudzinski) Van Den Avond, 85, Green Bay resident, died Saturday April 26, 2008 at a local nursing home. She was born June 5, 1922 in Green Bay to the late George and Pauline (Klancheck) Krawczyk. Dorothy graduated from East High School and married Cy Siudzinski in 1950. He preceded her in death in 1974. She then married Bernard Van Den Avond in 1979. He preceded her in death in 1994. Dorothy was employed as a sales clerk for Prange´s and Shopko Stores. She was a longtime member of St. Philip the Apostle Parish. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. Survivors include daughter-in-law Barb Siudzinski, Green Bay, grandchildren Eric (Stacey) Siudzinski, Green Bay, Krista (Matt) Nelson, Green Bay and Jacob Siudzinski, Madison, great-grandchildren Melody and Drew Siudzinski, step-daughters Barb (Mike) Libert, Green Bay, Sharon (Mike) Brown, Hastings MN, Judy (Ron) Kneiss, Newald, sisters-in-law Eileen Krawczyk, Green Bay and Madaline Krawczyk, Pulaski as well as nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her only son Mike Siudzinski, twin brother Donald Krawczyk in January 2008, brothers Lucian, Edward, Chester, Zeno and Richard, 2 sisters Martha and Marcella and stepson Tom Van Den Avond. Friends may call at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria Street, on Tuesday from 9:30-11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Tuesday April 29, 2008 at the church with the Rev. David Pleier officiating. Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 468-4111 is assisting the family.
