Carol Jean “Ma” Seidl, 87, died peacefully Sunday, November 4, 2018 following a  brief illness.  She was born  September 14, 1931 in Stangleville, to Joseph and Clara (Mahlik) Skornicka.

On November 11, 1950, Carol married Francis Seidl at St. Lawrence Catholic  Church in Stangleville.  He preceded her in death on July 20, 1997.

Carol is survived by her children, Becky (Joe) Manda, Bill (Joan) Seidl, Randy (Annie) Seidl, Larry (Debbie) Seidl, Katie (Rusty) Heim; grandchildren, Mike (Lisa), Frank, Kristin (Matt), Brian, Danny, Scott, Eric, Andy (Beatriz), Lauren (Ryan), John, Jake (Angie), Zach, Angie (Phil); great-grandchildren, Rey, Laila, Isa, Jaxon; sister, Mary Pribyl, sister-in-law, Mary Skornicka, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many great friends and neighbors.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Michael; brother-in-law, Laverne Pribyl.

Friends may call at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.  A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.  Friends may call again at St. Bernard Catholic Church on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.  Entombment will be in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family.  On-line condolences may be made to the Seidl family by going to www.prokowall.com
