Samantha Dahlke

Born in Oconomowoc, WI on Feb 24, 1973

Died on Nov 04, 2018 and resided in Ledgeview, WI

Samantha Dahlke, 45, was granted eternal rest at her home with her beloved family at her side on Sunday, November 4, 2018.  She was born February 24, 1973, in Oconomowoc to Carl and Fredericka (Wisneski) Scott.  In 1985, the family moved to Baraboo.  It was here that Sam’s roots truly developed and she cultivated friendships that lasted a lifetime.  In 1991, Sam graduated from Appleton East High School where she participated on the pom-pom squad.  After graduating from UW Madison with a Business Degree, she began her career in human resources at area businesses and went on to create her own consulting business.

On August 21, 1999, Samantha married Keith Dahlke at St. John Lutheran Church in De Pere.  The couple shared an adventurous spirit and enjoyed traveling together.  They opened their hearts, welcoming Bobby into their home as a foster child.  The three became a forever family.

Following family tradition, Sam enjoyed speed-skating.  She also enjoyed reading, cuddling in front of the fire with her pets, Buddy, Ozzie and Boo, watching the hummingbirds hover at the feeder and impressing everyone with her vast knowledge of movie quotes.  Samantha will be remembered as one of the strongest women on the planet and a true inspiration due to her 15 year fight against cancer.  More importantly, she will be remembered as a kind soul, a gifted counselor, a trusted shoulder to cry on, a talented mediator and a genuine friend ready to share in the joyous celebrations of life.

In addition to her husband and son, she is survived by her parents, Carl and Freddie Scott, Marshfield; a sister, Kimberly (Steve) Ebert, Baraboo; a brother, Matthew (Sharon) Scott, Chandler, AZ; her mother-in-law, Rita Dahlke, Ledgeview; a brother-in-law, Dan Dahlke, De Pere; her godparents, Russell and Sharon Scott; many nieces and nephews who will miss their Aunt Sami; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Dale Dahlke, and faithful companion--her dog Buddy.

There will be a memorial gathering from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E.
