Margaret E. (Boehm) Fontaine, 97, formerly of Ledgeview, died on Tuesday morning, November 27, 2018, at Bornemann Assisted Living where she made her home for the past seven and a half years.  She was born on July 13, 1921, to the late John and Minnie (Allen) Boehm.  On October 25, 1941, she married Arnold Fontaine at Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Catholic Church, he preceded her in death on November 25, 2003.  She was a lifelong member of the church, which later became Prince of Peace Parish.  Margaret also was a member of GBBG for 20 years, worked at Larson Canning, cared for her vegetable and flower gardens, solved the daily Press Gazette crossword puzzle and was active in art painting.  In her later years, she enjoyed weekly lunch outings with her daughters.

She will be deeply missed by her seven daughters, Carol Schmidt, Janice (Jerry Swerczyk) Fontaine, Marlene (Donald) Spice, Judy (Francis) Vickman, Christine Fontaine, Debra (David) Matzke and Sandra (Dennis) Kaster; 16 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.  She is further survived by one sister, Ann VandenLangenberg.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven; son-in-law, Leroy Schmidt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clem and Marilyn Boehm, Robert and Joyce Boehm; sisters and brothers-in-law, Agnes and Ted Amenson, Marian and Norman Lax; and brother-in-law, Clifford VandenLangenberg.

Visitation will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Rd., on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Rhyner officiating.  Burial will be  in Holy Martyrs Cemetery.  Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
