Died on Dec 24, 2018 and resided in Green Bay, WI

On Christmas Eve Heaven opened its doors to welcome our Mother, Joan Frances Klika after 85 years. She was born in Algoma on March 15, 1933, daughter of the late Alvin and Leone (Entringer) Thibodeau. Joan attended Algoma High School and graduated in 1951. Shortly after graduation Joan moved to, the “Big” city of Green Bay and worked for Wisconsin Telephone Company. She met Gerald “Jerry” Klika, who swept her off her feet. They married September 12, 1953 and celebrated 65 wonderful years of marriage. They raised 8 beautiful children, who went on to have 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Life tested her many times and her faith in God saw her through. She enjoyed many years of camping and building friendships. Her life’s passions included golf, bowling, playing cards, camping, bingo, shopping and lunch with her daughters. She also loved to brag about her hole-in-one and her winnings at bingo. Retirement brought them to Lakewood, WI, where she spent time with her sister Grace and her husband Ray. There many good friendships were made. In 2010 Jerry and Joan returned to Green Bay where it all started.

Joan will be sadly missed by her husband Jerry; her loving sister Grace; seven children, Terry (Craig) Hussin, Rick (Debi) Klika, Dennis (Janet) Klika, Dianne Tease, Julie (Dan) Johnson, Andy (Julie) Klika, Marty (Shari) Klika; 16 grandchildren; Mitch, Eric, Jennifer, Steve, Amanda, Kevin, and Stephanie Matthew, Sara, Holly, Ross, Carrisa, Samantha, Nicholas, and Theo; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers-in-law, Robert Klika and Sam (Bonnie) Klika.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph; her four siblings and their spouses; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne Klika, Pat Klika, and Annabel Klika.
