Ann M. Vickman, 97, died Sunday, February 3, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital.  She was born July 29, 1921, in Green Bay, to John and Clara (Wertel) Borowitz.

Ann attended SS. Peter & Paul Grade School and was a graduate of Green Bay East High School, Class of 1940.  For a short time, she worked at Larsen Canning Co. while she took evening classes learning fashion and design.  On November 11, 1941, Ann married Carleton Norbert Vickman.  Shortly after their marriage he served in World War II, stationed in Guam in the Philippines. She waited four years for his return.  After the war, Ann worked for Schreiber Foods in their store front for 40 years.  She was a devout member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Parish for 60 years, and for many years, she made a pilgrimage to Champion to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Hope, walking all the way.  Ann was devoted to her veneration of Mary through the rosary.  She will be remembered as an excellent seamstress and made clothing, costumes, and clothing for theater.  Together, Ann and Carleton loved traveling.  Ann loved going to the casino, and spending time with her cats which she had as pets most of her life. 

Ann is survived by her beloved daughter, Suzanne (Charles) Rabideau; beloved grandson, Eric (Joylyn) Heil; beloved great-grandchildren, Griffen and Madelyn, Heil; a sister, Shirley Borowitz; a niece, Sheila McGraw; her sister-in-law, Rita Borowitz; special friend, Kathy Umentum; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carleton; her parents; brothers, Frank (Elaine) Borowitz, Johnny (Clara) Borowitz, Henry Borowitz.

Friends may call at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria Street, on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the church, with the Rev.
