Marcella D. “Marcie” Salmon, age 92, of Green Bay, WI, died peacefully with family at her bedside on Thursday, February 7, 2019.   She was born June 11, 1926, in Luxemburg, WI to John and Anna (Oberhofer) Salentine.  On October 29, 1949, Marcella married Edward A. Salmon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg.

She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Luxemburg High School.  Later, she attended vocational school to learn upholstery and oil painting.  She created many beautiful paintings for her family members.  She enjoyed gardening, crafts and made wonderful pine cone wreaths.  At many family events, she was known for her peanut bars. Marcie was a 50-year member of the VFW Ladies auxiliary.  She was a lifetime member of St. Philip Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar Society. She worked at H.C. Pranges/Younkers for many years.

She is survived by her nine children:  Patricia (Kenneth) Hager, Pamela (Steven) Wetts, Perry (Karen), Paulette (Tom) Delaney, Patrick (Mary Ann), Paul (Judi Waldron-Salmon), Philip (Christine), Peter (Nancy), Edward (Selena).  Her 26 grandchildren:  Stephanie (Aaron) Younk, Jessica (Matthew) Westenberger, David (Karen) Hager, Melissa (Joshua) Neuser, Nikki (Jim) Strick, Christopher Wetts, Heather (Jeff) Schwasinger, Nathan Salmon, Cody Salmon, Paul (Kristine) Delaney, Mike Delaney, Lukas Salmon, Olivia Salmon, Calvin Salmon, Brandon Salmon, Larissa Salmon, Alex (Ashley) Salmon, Mike Salmon, Collin Salmon, Hadley Reetz, Andy Salmon, Sofie Salmon, Hanna (Jason) Buresh, Marie (Kevin) Dunford, Gwen Salmon, Adam Salmon; 14 great-grandchildren, sisters- in- law/brothers-in-laws:  Betty Salentine, Beatrice Salentine, Mary Tomcheck, Theresa Mc Carville, Rita (Jim) Oudenhoven, Ervin Destree, Tom Salmon and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and infant daughter Pamela Ann, sisters and brothers:  Helen (Donald) Peot, Milton Salentine, Marion (Leo) Salmon, Audrey Destree, Donald Salentine, John Salentine. Sisters- in- laws/Brother- in-laws:  George (Mary) Salmon, Marge (Carl) Slaby, Geraldine (Buck) Garot, Jim Salmon, Audrey (Ken) Repitz, Ken Tomcheck, Bob Salmon, Dick (Nancy) Salmon.

Visitation will be at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, with a Prayer Service to follow.  Visitation will continue at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St., from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019, with Rev. Robert Rhyner officiating the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Entombment will be at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.Prokowall.com.

Marcella’s family would like to thank the staffs of Bornemann’s CBRF South and Unity Hospice, as well as St. Bernard’s Nursing Home Ministry, and the St. Philip the Apostle Parish community.
