Steven R. Kugel, 53, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, February 25, 2019. He was born in Green Bay on August 20, 1965, to Robert and Barbara (Prevost) Kugel. Steve was a graduate of Preble High School and then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Business from UWGB. In 1990, Steve married Rosa Caringella and together they raised four children. Although Rosa and Steve’s marriage ended after 20 years, their friendship always remained. He served his country in the U.S. Navy as a radioman from 1983-1992, stationed on the USS Semmes in Charleston, SC, and at Pax River Naval Air Station, Lexington Park, MD. After Steve’s Naval career, he worked at the Green Bay Post Office until he retired. Many of Steve’s favorite pastimes revolved around sports. He was an avid sport’s card collector, enjoyed going to Brewer games with his sons, coached youth baseball and football, and attended many Preble High School athletic events. Steve had many memorable vacations on Caribbean cruises with his family and his online cruise group friends. He also enjoyed the many times he was able to go fishing and camping up north in the Minocqua and Lake Tomahawk areas.

He is survived by his four children, Jordan (Katie), Matt, Frank, and Carli Kugel, all of Green Bay; his mother, Barbara Kugel, Woodruff, WI; brother, Brian (Robin) Kugel, Rocky Hills, CT; sisters, Donna Mayo, Virginia Beach, VA, and Kim (Vernon) Campbell, Susanville, CA; friend and mother of his children, Rosa Kugel, Green Bay; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kugel; along with several other relatives and friends.
