Harriet G. Dakins, 97. passed with peace and grace on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, with her family at her side.  Predeceased by her loving husband, Frank, in 1996.  Harriet was born in Milladore, WI in August of 1921, to the late Jacob and Sophie (Kubas) Kozlowski.  She graduated from PJ Jacobs High School in Stevens Point, WI as well as UW Stevens Point with a degree in Education.  Harriet taught at a one room school house near Stevens Point and then decided to work at The Hardware Insurance Company (now Sentry Insurance).  She worked in the Atlanta, GA office for 2 years and then moved back to Stevens Point to work at the home office.  After marrying Frank, they moved to Richland Center and subsequently to Green Bay.  Harriet taught 5th grade at St. Philip the Apostle School for 13 years.  She enjoyed golf, tennis, reading, camping and playing bridge.

Harriet will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Harriet will be deeply missed by her daughters, Diane (Paul) Kelnhofer, Debbie Korotev and Ellen Drasin; grandchildren, Jeremy (Alissa) Kelnhofer, Jenna (Russ) Anderson, Katie and Jayne Korotev, Mary Drasin (Rocco Palumbo); great grandchildren, Dempsey and Maisie Kelnhofer and Parker and Aubrey Anderson; sister-in-law, Margaret Dakins; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Sophie Kozlowski; brothers, John, Carl (Agatha) and Edward (Jane); sisters, Bernice (Edward) Poliwada, Lucille (Bernard) Slattery and Sophie Kozlowki (Sister Ella); sister-in-law, Evelyn (William) Lang; brother-in-law, Lyle Dakins; niece, Janet Keen; nephews, Will Slattery, Richard Kozlowski, Father Daniel Kozlowski, John Kozlowski and Brian Dakins; and her son-in-law, James Korotev.

Visitation will be at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St., from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019, with Rev. William Hoffman officiating the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.  and entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.Prokowall.com.
