Glen A. Gore, 67, Allouez resident, died Monday, April 22, 2019, at a local hospital following a five-year battle with cancer.  He was born September 12, 1951, in Milwaukee, to the late Gerald and Irene (Stankiewicz) Gore. Glen attended St. Mary of the Angels & Allouez Grade School and graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1969. Glen married the former Grace Rentmeester on December 12, 1970, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church.  They shared 48 wonderful years together.

Glen was employed as a steamfitter with Tweet-Garot Plumbing and the Steamfitters Union Local 400 until his retirement. Glen was a true sports fan.  He loved watching all sports and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.  He played AAA softball for several years and has many stories of his little league days.  Glen enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially during his winters in Sarasota.  He looked forward to the simple things in life: a good old fashion, listening to music, watching the deer in the backyard, sitting around the campfire and grilling with family.

Glen will be remembered as a kind and caring husband, father and grandfather.  He is survived by his wife, Grace and their three children: Gina (Mike) Jensen; Greg Gore, all of Allouez and Geri (Danny) Greene, Sarasota, FL; four grandchildren: Tommy and Will Jensen and Riley and Hailey Greene; his in-laws: Carol (Wes) De Grand, Green Bay; Gloria MacDonald, Lakeland, FL; Wayne (Jane) Rentmeester, Sarasota, FL; Janet (Beaver) Miller, Port St. Lucie, FL and Paul (Lori) Rentmeester, Green Bay; Sister-in-law, Myrna Gore; and his                         nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Francis and Elizabeth Rentmeester and brother, Terrance Gore, two brothers-in-law, Dale Rentmeester and Rod MacDonald.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2019. Parish wake service 7:00 p.m. Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop, after 9:00 am until time of Mass. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with Msgr James Feely officiating. Entombment in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of floral expressions, a memorial fund has been established in his name.

Our family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Peter Falk, Dr. Brian Burnette and the staff at Green Bay Oncology who showed compassionate care throughout Glen’s 5 year journey.

Glen lived by the motto, Take One Day at a Time.
