Thomas James Schauer, 72, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. He was born in Green Bay on June 25, 1946, to the late Carl and Ella (Conard) Schauer. Tom graduated from Premontre High School, Class of 1964. On September 23, 1967, Tom married his high school sweetheart Mary Dappern at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Bay Settlement. He was a plumber for all his career and was a member of Local 400 Plumber’s and Steamfitter’s Union. In his younger years, he was always busy playing baseball and bowling. He was an avid fan of the Brewers and attended Packer games as a season ticket holder. Tom enjoyed many years at his cottage up north, spending time with his family and taking the boat out on the water. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Tom always had a smile on his face and his infectious laugh will be remembered by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all of us “Dad gum” knot heads.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary; three children, Vicki Meidam, Kevin Schauer, and Craig (Katie) Schauer; six grandchildren, Kayla, Cody, Kyle, Mason, Braeleigh, Emery, and one on the way; six great-grandchildren, Seth, Kevin, Isabella, Athena, Lillyth, and Aletta; brother, Francis (Karen) Schauer; sisters, Joan (Dick) Mouraeu, Janet (Mike) La Count; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol (Kermit) Conard, Robert Dappern; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Tom was preceded in death by his brother, David Schauer.
