Geraldine “Geri” M. Deprey, 82, went to be with her loving husband Melvin M. Deprey on July 13, 2019. She was born in Green Bay, October 23, 1936, to the late Bernard and Ella Rentmeester.  Geraldine and Melvin were united in marriage in 1955 and had 43 wonderful years together prior to his passing in 1998, after which mother missed him dearly.

Geri and Mel met on the roller rink while skating and went on to be excellent dance roller skaters. They traveled to many roller rinks around the state until the time of her illness in 1977 which prevented her from skating anymore. They are now in each other’s arms at the skating rink beyond.

Geri took great pride in her customer service career at Cohen’s Department Store and H. C. Prange until her forced retirement due to illness in 1977. Geri always took great pride in her home. Her True love was taking care of her family. Geri’s favorite holiday was Christmas, where no room was safe.

Geri will be sadly missed by her children, Michelle (Dean) Rintamaki, Pam (Scott) Seidl, Don (Stephanie) Deprey, and Melody (Doug) Burkard; grandchildren, John (Holly) Rintamaki, Eric Rintamaki, LeAnn (Seth) Koellmer-Seidl, Christine (Derek) Jefrey, Randy Deprey and Raemey Deprey; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Annabelle, Jahaerys, Anton, Makayla. She is further survived by her sister, Sharon Witcpalek and sisters-in-law, Margaret and Dorothy Rentmeester and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday, July 19, 2019, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Rd., from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

We extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude to Bruce Mertens, who befriended our mother seventeen years ago, assisting her with the outdoor activities at her home and his companionship.
