Mary Patricia “Pat” Aderman, 90, of Marinette/Green Bay, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Friday Morning, June 26th.  Pat was born on May 21st, 1930 to the late John and Mary Johnson in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. “Patsy” was the baby of the family with five older siblings: Melba (Hank) Funk, Kaye (Eldo “Red”) Boettcher, Lorraine (Robert “Ridge”) Lemorande, Jack (Dorothy) Johnson, and James “Jimmy” (Phyllis) Johnson. She was the last of the six to join her family in Heaven.

Pat was a proud alumnus of Saint Anthony’s School and Oconto Falls High School. On June 21st, 1952, “the longest day of the year,” she married Merrill James Aderman, and they went on to enjoy 64 years of marriage together until Merrill, 96, passed in December of 2016. As a homemaker, Pat raised five wonderful children. She also maintained jobs outside of the home, including working as a bank teller, bookkeeping at a pharmacy, providing home care and companionship to the elderly, and volunteering as a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Family Parish in Marinette. She was a dedicated mother who never missed any of her children’s sporting events, and she enjoyed volunteering her time at her children’s schools. Pat was very involved in her home communities of Marinette, Wisconsin and Media, Pennsylvania. She was an excellent bridge player and avid golfer (even joining the hole-in-one-club at Little River Country Club of Marinette, WI). She enjoyed gardening, baking pies, knitting, and making people laugh with her infectious spirit and personality, which frequently made her the life of the party.

Pat was happiest when she was around her friends and family. She was full of life and spent her Friday evenings flitting from table to table socializing with friends at fish fries, always with a glass of 5 o’clock wine and never without lipstick. For the past two years of her life, Pat was beloved by her personal care providers at Angel’s Touch Assisted Living in the Green Bay area. The family wishes to thank the care providers at both Angel’s Touch and Heartland Hospice for all their love, patience, and dedication.

Pat is survived by five children: Craig (Carol) Aderman of Freeport, ME, Juli (Michael) Aderman-Hagerty of Boulder, CO, Jane (Charles) Follmer of Cambridge, MD, Claudia (Steve) Schweiner of Green Bay, WI, and Bruce (Ann) Aderman of St. Charles, IL; 11 grandchildren: Dan, Chris (Jane), Sarah (Jerry), Will, Kaitlin, Max, Abby, Amy, Marisa (Jimmy), Mike, Jessica; her first great-grandchild, Wells (Chris and Jane); and many nieces and nephews.  Together, Pat and Merrill enjoyed annual trips to visit their children and grandchildren across the country.

A memorial service in celebration of Pat’s life will be planned for early summer 2021 at St. Anthony’s Church in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. Details will be shared on the Proko-Wall website under Pat’s obituary as well as via family communications. Please leave a comment or share a memory in the online Guestbook. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any contributions be given to Heartland Hospice in Green Bay.
