Catherine Ann Schmidt
Catherine Ann Schmidt, 38, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 18, 2021. She was born November 5, 1982, at Laughlin Air Force Base in Texas, to Steve and Veronica (Abts) McNicoll.
Catherine was a graduate of De Pere High School, Class of 2001. She later graduated from NWTC, and from Rasmussen College with a degree in business management. She worked as a payroll manager for Clifton Larson Allen, LLP.
Catherine loved spending time with her family, she took every opportunity to get involved in the interests of her girls. She had an adventurous spirit that took her to many new places; camping, traveling, live concerts, and anywhere there was fun to be had. Whatever she was involved in, she did it with her whole heart. Her kindness and positive attitude, paired with her infectious laugh, will be deeply missed, and never forgotten.
Catherine is survived by her husband Kevin and her daughters, Olivia Ann and Lucy Jo; her parents, Steve and Veronica McNicoll; her brothers and sister, John P. (Abby) McNicoll, Dianna M. McNicoll, Steven J. McNicoll; her sisters-in-law, Angie Brey, Shelly (Larry) Severson; her paternal grandmother, Mary McNicoll; her nieces and nephews, Kristen (David), Connor (Shelby), Sydnie, Zachary (fiancé Tessa), and Abraham; many aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Joseph; her grandparents, James John McNicoll, Calvin and Joyce Abts.
Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Road, Ledgeview, on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Mike Ingold officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. On-line condolences may be given at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of flowers, donations will be made in Catherine’s memory.
