Dale J. Walton, Sr., 69, died Sunday, June 27, 2021. He was born into a large family on May 1, 1952, in Green Bay to Lawrence and Gladys (LeCloux) Walton.

Dale was a man of many talents and a strong work ethic. He began working at C. Reiss Coal company delivering coal to homes, foundry work, and also as a house painter/stainer. Dale owned his own carpet cleaning business called Discount Carpet Cleaning until he sold it in 2014. On April 18, 1997, Dale married Janet Metzler at Green Bay Community Church. Dale was a devout Christian and did what he could to spread the Gospel. He taught dance lessons for free at Green Bay Community Church for ten years. Dale also loved to travel. He and his wife Jan traveled in their RV and enjoyed camping, kayaking, and riding his electric bike. He recorded their trips on his YouTube video called “RVing with Dale and Jan” which he used to share the Gospel. He loved to entertain people with his jokes, talents, and incredible sense of humor. As a talented musician, he played guitar for twenty years in a band called “Night Wing”. He also played guitar during worship at The Barn Fellowship where he was a member. Dale will be remembered as a selfless, caring man, a leader with a strong faith and as a Christian role model.

Dale is survived by his wife, Janet; his sons, Dale (Jennifer) Walton, Jr., Peter (Jody) Walton, and Lawrence Walton (Lisa); his grandchildren, Trevor, Nicholas, Abigail, Elizabeth, and Brianna; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler; his parents; and several family members.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, on Thursday from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.  The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Dale’s family extends a special word of thanks to the staff of Bellin Hospital ICU and to Dr. Abou Daya for their loving care of Dale and support of his family.
