Debra “Debbie” Lee Rentmeester passed away following a brief but hard-fought battle on July 7th, 2021.

Born in Green Bay, WI, Debbie was the oldest child of Warren and Patsy (Faltynski) Dugan.  She grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Pulaski High School.  Following graduation, she returned to Green Bay where she met and married John LeCaptain.  Together they raised Shannon and Curtis LeCaptain.

Following John’s death, Debbie was lucky enough to find love again when she met and married Thomas Rentmeester.

In the fall of 2020 Debbie retired from the DePere School District where she had served as a custodian for 19 years.  She made many lasting friendships during this time and loved sharing pictures of family and recipes with her co-workers and friends.

Throughout her life, Debbie loved traveling, home renovation projects, reading, crafting, watching Hallmark movies, and making a true connection with Stephanie while playing “Words with Friends” online.

Debbie was preceeded in death by her parents Warren and Patsy Dugan, husband John LeCaptain, and Mother-in-Law Arleen LeCaptain.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years Thomas Rentmeester, siblings Mark (Lyn) Dugan, Renee Bisick, children Shannon Gresham, Curtis (Laura) LeCaptain, and stepchildren Pete (Michelle) Rentmeester and Renee (Joel “JJ”) Justinger, grandchildren Jordan, Joshua, Isaac, Grace, Anthony, John, Olivia, Abby, Noah, and great-grandson Kayden. Debbie is also survived by her in-laws Allen (Julie) LeCaptain, Donna Deck, and Pete (Cindy) Rentmeester.

Visitation will be at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021, with the Funeral Service starting at 7:00 p.m.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.Prokowall.com.

Debbie’s family would like to thank the health care professionals at Froedtert Hospital for being talented fighters.  The family would also like to thank the loving and respectful health care professionals at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Wauwatosa, WI.

On her last full day on this earth, Debbie enjoyed many snuggles with grandchildren, visits with friends and family, and her favorite Motown music.  She was comforted by her loving husband until the very end.
