Lori passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2021 at 98 years of age. She was born in Indiana in 1922 to Clarence and Mildred (Bell) Christopher, moving with her family to Wisconsin as a young child.

Lori worked at Nordberg Manufacturing in Milwaukee and also volunteered as a “Gray Lady” at what is now Sanai Samaritan Hospital.  While at Nordberg she first met her future husband, Len Berth. They were married in Milwaukee 1945 after Len’s return from England at the end of World War II. Soon after getting married, the couple moved to Madison where Lorene worked for the State of Wisconsin while Len earned his Master’s degree.

Subsequently, they moved to Green Bay where Lori volunteered at numerous area nonprofits including Union Congregational Church, the Service League of Green Bay and PEO. She enjoyed learning and was an active member of Art Study Club and Garden Club. Lori’s love of gardening and flowers led to many happy years working at Schroeder’s Flowerland.  In 1995, Lori and Len celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together.

Lori was predeceased by her husband, parents and her siblings; twin sister Maxine Smith and brother Art Christopher. She is survived by her 4 children: Sharren (John) Rose; Charles (Cait) Berth; Mary (Peter) Morrison and; Elisabeth (Ralf) Lukner.

Her life was brightened with the blessing of 7 grandchildren; Tom (Katie) Berth, Allison (Ryan) Kierth, Emily Berth, Eric (Whitney) Morrison, Courtney (Darryl) Malone, Haleigh (fiancé James) Wypiszynski, and Collin Settle. Lori was also able to be with her great granddaughter Emma Morrison.  She is further survived by her 3 nieces and 2 nephews.

The family is grateful for the kind, compassionate and loving care that Lori received in her decline from her very extraordinary team of caregivers, Unity Hospice and special family friend Carl Pugh.

A celebration remembering Lori’s life is scheduled at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Friday, July 23nd, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Encompass Early Education and Care, Inc.  Condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
