Candace “Candy” Kaye

Candace “Candy” M. Kaye, 62, Green Bay resident, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021, after a lengthy illness.  She was born on April 8, 1959, in Green Bay to Donald and Angela (Massey) Kaye.  Candy was a graduate of Green Bay Preble High School.  She then attended UWGB on a basketball scholarship.  Candy was later inducted into the UWGB Basketball Hall of Fame.  She was a lifelong employee of Murphy Development in Green Bay and considered her co-workers her second family.  Candy loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews.  Although she was not a mother herself, she had a true maternal nature not only with her nieces and nephews but her friends and co-workers children.  Candy enjoyed spending time with the “sisterhood”, which comprised of her college and high school teammates and friends.  She was an avid Badgers, Brewers and Packers fan. Candy was a devoted follower of UWGB women’s basketball. 

She is survived by her father, Donald Kaye; brother, Rocklyn (Lori) Kaye; sisters, Wendy (Roger) Schubert and Shawn (Edward) Buck; nieces and nephews, Emma (Brad), Aldon, Berclee, Colin, Ian, Angealic and Baird; great niece, Madelyn; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Angela Kaye.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel, 2770 Bay Settlement Rd., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Memorial service 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Mausoleum with Deacon Bernie Terrian officiating.  Entombment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund to further cancer research will be established.

Candy’s family would like to express a heartfelt appreciation and thank you to the nurses and doctors at Aurora St. Luke’s Hospital for their loving and phenomenal care.
