Roland “Rollie” Ferry, 85, Green Bay resident, died unexpectedly, Saturday, November 13, 2021, at a local hospital. He was born on June 23, 1936, in Sugarbush to the late Harvey and Clara (Arendt) Ferry. Rollie graduated from Luxemburg High School in 1954. Following high school, he enlisted in the US Army Reserves serving for eight years. Rollie married the former Shirley VanderKelen on June 6, 1959, at Holy Martyrs of Gorcum Catholic Church.

 Rollie was employed in the Dairy Industry for his entire career beginning at Fairmont Foods and eventually Kemp’s Dairy. He then moved to Kaukauna Cheese and retired from Morning Glory Dairy in 1996.

 Rollie enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cottage in Door County as well as the hunting camp in Tipler. Packer games were always looked forward to and softball at Lily Lake was regular event. He and Shirley loved traveling both throughout the United States as well as abroad. He liked to make dust in his woodworking shop at home where he could be found many times working on a project. Rollie’s pride and joy was his family. He supported all their endeavors and was the number one fan at all the grandchildren’s events. Rollie was a man of strong faith, not only in how he raised his family, but how he lived his life. He was an active member of Holy Martyrs Parish, now Prince of Peace, volunteering as a CCD instructor, lecturer, a member of the choir and Holy Name Society and routinely helping with the parish picnic.

 He is survived by his wife Shirley and their five children: Kim (Dan) Wirtz; Madonna (Harry) Sydney III; Paul (Nancy) Ferry, all Green Bay; Kristine (Sandy) Frankow, St. Louis, MO and Jason Ferry and Nicole Polarek, Green Bay; grandchildren: Krystal (Bryan) Schneidewind; Jacquelyn (Jared) Birkholz; Alyse Delie and Martin Gesch IV; Eric (Shella) Delie;; Halie Ferry; Weston (Sydnee) Frankow and Jordan Frankow; Drew Ferry, Will Ferry and Elle Ferry; Harry Sydney IV; Zachary Sydney; Nathan (Mandy) Sydney and Taylor Sydney; great grandchildren: Benjamin Schneidewind, Logan Schneidewind and Emerson Schneidewind; Willow Birkholz; Milo Delie, Juneau Delie, Julian Delie and Tyas Sydney.

 He was preceded in death by his sister, Marge (Bob) Barrette; two brothers, Robert (Charlotte) Ferry and James Ferry.

 Friends may call at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Rd. on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. Parish wake service 7:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday at the church from 9:30 until 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am with Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Entombment at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
