Jeffrey T. Baumann, known to his friends and family as Jiffy Pop and Jeff-fa-fa, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021, surrounded by his beloved family.  Born February 29, 1964, Jeff was 14.25 years old, 57 to those of us who were not Leap Day babies.  He was born Jeffrey Tofsrud, and raised by his parents, Larry and Kay (Hagen) Baumann in Green Bay.  After graduating from West High School in 1982, he served briefly in the U.S. Army.

Jeff met Shelley Thelen while working at a local pizza restaurant.  The two married and had two sons whom he was extremely proud of, Alex and Mike.  His joy continued when the boys blessed him with grandchildren.

Jeff began his career as a long-distance trucker in 1988, a job he truly loved.  He said he had the best office window in the world and was proud to have visited all 48 continental states as well as Canada and Mexico.

Jeff found love again at a class reunion in 2014, where he met Nancy Lemerond Vandenhouten, his soulmate.  The couple celebrated marriage on October 7, 2017.  They enjoyed spending time at their Crivitz permanent campsite with best friends Doug and Dawn.  Jeff had a soft spot for cats, currently dad to three beautiful furry friends.

Jeff was taken from us too soon, and will be sadly missed by his wife, Nancy; his two sons, Alex (Melissa) and Mike (Natassja), his grandchildren, Azalia, Kaiden and Teigan; Nancy’s children, Nina (Ricardo) Oliveira and Eric (Linda) Vandenhouten; her grandchildren, Luca and Everett; his mother, Kay Baumann; three sisters, Sandie Maurer, Lori (Michael) Anthony and Amy (Tap) Pruitt; nieces and nephews, Ashley Gulley, Julia Delvaux, Kaitlyn Naples, Michael Naples and James Haberstein; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Those leading him into heaven include his daughter, Rebecca; a grandson, Davion Akin; his father, Larry; grandmothers, Lillian Hagen and Bernice Baumann; a brother-in-law, Mike Naples; and his friend, Paul Detrie.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St.  Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  To send online condolences visit www.prokowall.com.  A memorial fund has been established for the Humane Society.

Jeff’s family extends a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of St. Mary’s ICU and Unity Hospice, especially Erika, Abby, Stacey, and Brittney.  Your kindness will not be forgotten.
