Agnes Marie Kroner Hein, 97, Green Bay, passed peacefully onto to the Lord on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Unity Hospice. Agnes was born October 28, 1926, in Isaar, WI to the late John and Agnes (Kailhofer) Kroner, the youngest of 12 children. On May 5, 1951, Agnes was united in marriage to her forever soulmate, Robert Carter Hein. They were married for almost 63 wonderful years until Bob’s passing in 2014.

Agnes graduated from Seymour high school in 1944. After high school, she moved to Green Bay where she worked as an administrative assistant and helped run the offices of Bay Products and later the construction division of Wisconsin Telephone Company. Agnes retired from work outside of the home when she and Bob started their family.

Agnes was devoted to her faith and her family. She and Bob were charter members of Saint Agnes Parish, where she was active on parish council and on many committees. She was also a volunteer gray lady at St. Mary’s Hospital.

For almost 50 years, Agnes enjoyed the log cabin that she and Bob built on Lake Hilbert, cherishing the time spent with family and friends. It truly was her “heaven on earth” for 15 years after Bob retired. Agnes’ true legacy is her loving family who truly adored her. Her role as Mom, Grandma, Grammy, and Mimi brought her so much joy and happiness, especially in her later years.

She is survived by her five children: Beth (Jim) Scalish, Steve (Janet) Hein, Cindy (Paul) Westin, Mary (Randy) Siegler and Jim (Ann) Hein; her four grandchildren and 14 adoring great-grandchildren Alex (Rachel) Scalish and MacKenzie and Ryleigh, Peter (Shannon) Scalish and James and Grace, Joel (Bridget) Hein and Owen, Teddy, Will, Mary Cate, Annie and George, Courtney (Matthew) Juedes and Emma, Lydia, Carter and Jack; brother-in-law, Bill (Lee) Hein and countless nieces, nephews and special friends.

In addition to her loving husband, Agnes was preceded in death by her 11 siblings.
