Amilyn M. Genz “Ami”, 50, Maribel, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 17, 2022, at St. Vincent hospital in Green Bay with her best friend (Chrissy Smits) by her side. The daughter of Victoria Ward (Servais) and John Walch was born on December 18, 1971, in Green Bay. Ami loved books and theater growing up, and swore she was going to live on Broadway. That was until she met the love of her life Brian D. Genz. She married Brian Genz on March 6, 1992, surrounded by a few close friends and family.

Amilyn and Brian went on to have two kids, Logan and Victoria. Ami loved spending time up north at their place in Armstrong Creek, watching the birds, feeding the hummingbirds out of her hand, reading, and spending time with so many special people. Amilyn worked as a Strategic Customer Support Specialist for Nature’s Way for over 15 years. Over the last 15 years at Nature’s Way, she made numerous friends and impacted so many lives. She will always be remembered for her contagious smile and spunky personality.

Amilyn is survived by: her grandmother, Mildred Haskins; mother, Victoria (James) Ward, father, John (Gurmit) Walch, brother; Antone (Gokcin) Walch, husband; Brian D. Genz, children; Logan Genz and his significant other Kimmie Pettit, Victoria Genz, mother-in-law; Florence Genz, 2 paternal aunts, 6 maternal aunts, 1 maternal uncle, 4 brother-in-laws, 1 sister-in-law (Gladys Thompson), a very special niece; Heather (Timothy Watko) Wilkinson, her 3 god children; Owen Huber, Anthony Willkinson, and Carson Watko, many cousins and friends.

Ami was preceded in death by: Marion and Joseph Walch (paternal grandparents), Michael and William Walch (paternal uncles), Walter Genz (father-in-law), Edwin Genz (uncle-in-law), Antone Servais, Robert Haskins (maternal grandfathers), and Shannon Saldana (maternal cousin).

A celebration of life will be held sometime this summer as Amilyn hated the cold. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

The family extends a thank you to the staff at St. Vincent hospital, especially, Gina Perez, APNP, for their care for Amilyn during the last two and a half weeks
