Audrey Albright

Audrey M. Albright, 75, De Pere resident, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, after a short illness.  She was born on December 29, 1947, in the town of Eaton to the late Walter and Violet (Ostrenga) Saharsky.  Audrey was a graduate of Denmark High School.  She then attended NWTC and obtained her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education.  On October 28, 1972, she married the love of her life Richard Albright at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.  They celebrated 49 years of marriage.  He preceded her in death on October 30, 2021.  Audrey owned and ran The Rocking Horse Family Daycare Center for many years.  She then worked at Assumption BVM in Pulaski as a pre-school teacher until her retirement.  Working with and teaching children brought her much joy.  Outside of work, Audrey was an avid golfer.  She and Dick enjoyed wintering in Arizona and getting to spend time with her grandchildren.  Audrey also liked to go to the cottage at Shawano Lake, where she enjoyed many activities with her family.  Audrey was proud to be Polish and liked listening to polka music…..loudly!  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her daughters, Heather (Clint Eastman) Albright, De Pere; Amy Jo (Joseph Navarro) Albright, Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Brady Mennen, Brett Mennen, Bryce Mennen, Violet Navarro, Madelyn Navarro, Josephine Navarro, Hazel Navarro and Oscar Navarro; brothers, Robert (Rosie) Saharsky and Irvin (Sherry) Saharsky; brothers-in-law, John (Pat) Albright and Mark (Debbie) Albright; sister-in-law, Mary (Claire) O’Neil; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janice (Jerry) Matzke; and brother, Jim Saharsky.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, St. Mary Catholic Church-Ledgeview, 4805 Sportsman Dr., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Ben Johnson officiating.  Burial will take place at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund will be established.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her primary care physician, Dr. Bozena Biernat and her neurologist, Dr. Heather Stanko for their care and compassion.  Also a special thank you to Unity Hospice, who provided Audrey comfort and peace.
