Beatrice “Bea” Geurts
Beatrice Ann “Bea” Geurts, 97, Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022, in the comfort of her own home. Bea was born in Shirley on Feb. 12, 1924, to the late Ole and Rosemary (Besaw) Jarstad. On Oct. 29, 1955, Bea married Bernard M. Geurts at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Bea enjoyed bird watching, playing cards and the many years she spent working at Prange’s Terrace Room Kitchen. She will be remembered for her kind heart and her love for her family.
Bea will be missed by her daughter that she lived with, Nancy; sons, Chuck Geurts (Theresa Rosik-Geurts) and Gary (Sharon) Geurts; grandchildren, Julian Riegler and Thoren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her husband Bernard; siblings, Agnes Jarstad, Mabel Rice, Arlene Champeau, Arlo Jarstad, Marvin Jarstad, Mildred Kaufman, Desmul “Bud” Jarstad, Ardell Jarstad, Elsie Clausen and Herbert Jarstad; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held for family and close friends tomorrow at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 720 N. Baird St., from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, with Rev.
