Bernice Lucille Rentmeester, 94, Green Bay, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great and great great grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on Monday, July 11, 2022. She entered this world on September 26, 1927, in Green Bay, born to the late Joseph and Hattie (Scray) Vanden Langenberg.

Bernice graduated from Green Bay East High School with the class of 1944. She married the love of her life, Arnold Rentmeester. They had a beautiful love story and marriage that lasted for 74 years. Bernice was a stay-at-home mom until her six children; Tom, Steve, Pat, Chris, Barb and Brad were all in school. At that point she worked as a teachers aid at Dickinson Elementary School and then at De Pere Middle School. Bernice was a true artist and could paint mostly anything. She was an excellent seamstress and loved playing cards, mostly Bridge. Bernice had a passion for gardening, always enjoyed a round of golf and loved to fish, “usually catching more fish than everyone”. Entertaining was in her blood, probably because she was an excellent cook and baker.

Bernice shared her time and talents with her community volunteering at her parish, St Bernard’s, the Red Cross and the NEW Zoo. She was always willing to help out and could never say no. Bernice and Arnie enjoyed traveling abroad and as well as all parts of the U.S. They loved the Packers and were season ticket holders since the stadium was built. Her favorite place to be was at the cottage they built on the Bay of Green Bay. For sixty years this was the place memories were made with family and friends. Her family was her priority and she cherished spending time with all of them. Bernice never missed a birthday, soccer game, baseball game or concert.

Bernice is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law: Tom (Honore); Steve (Betty); Pat (Gail) and Brad (Kim); two daughters and sons-in-law, Chris (Jim) Speaker and Barb (Joe) Weininger; 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; two brothers, Raphael and Ronnie Vanden Langenberg; Sisters-in-law: Betty and Barb Vanden Langenberg and Marian (Erv) Ripp and Pat Roy; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by numerous relatives and friends.
