Beverly J. Nelson 79, died Sunday, September 10, 2023, following a brief illness. She was born December 8, 1943, in Duck Creek, WI to Fred and Etta (Bentley) Knaus.
On December 15, 1962, Bev married Irvin “Lee” Nelson in Green Bay. She worked as a Dietician’s Assistant for over 20 years, firstly at St. Mary’s Hospital, and later at St. Vincent Hospital. Bev loved life and spending time with family was very important to her. She was at her best when hosting family gatherings. Bev also adored children and fostered many babies over the years.
Bev is survived by her husband, Irvin; her children, Gerald “Gerry” Nelson and Kristy (Brian) Kofnetka; her grandchildren, Brittany Nelson, Ashley Nelson, and Derek (Amie) Beauleau; her great-grandchildren, Zavanna, Daniel, Lucas, Lyla, and Addy; three sisters, Gertrude Wright, Leone Rogers, Kay Cramer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Loretta Pierquet, Ethelyn Parafiniuk, and Joyce Knaus; seven brothers, Dale, Connie, Lloyd, Austin, Fred “Rusty”, Merle, and Allen “Luke” Knaus.
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, on Thursday, September 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Chaplain Josh Viste officiating. On-line condolences may be given at www.prokowall.com.
