Carol Louise Stone (Nee Liebergen), 84, Green Bay resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 12, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born August 9, 1937, in Green Bay to the late George and Mary (Ferrier) Liebergen. She married Earl Stone September 29, 1962, at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2005.
Carol graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy. She later went on to Cosmetology School and owned and operated Carole’s Beauty Salon for many years. Carol also supervised the custodial staff at numerous buildings throughout Green Bay and DePere for Feld Real Estate.
Carol’s number one love and passion in her life was her family! She was an eloquent roller skater and her and Earl would mesmerize the rink when they skated the waltz. She loved playing Sheepshead and loved her Bingo days. She was a diehard Packer and Badger fan…and may have had numbers on those games a time or two.
Carol is survived by 4 children: Chris (Tom) Gerondale; Mike Stone (Pam Johnson); Cathy (Dick) Allcox and Peggy (Mark) Meinert, all of Green Bay; eight grandchildren: Tony (Maria) Wall, Kyle (Brooke) Kudick; Brandon (Anna) Stone; Justin Kudick (Carly Lafave); Jacob Allcox; Kayla Gerondale (Percy Lewis); Michelle (Zach) Biese; Karissa (Cody) Johnson, six great grandchildren; Sophia Meliziva-Gray; Henry Kudick; Kinsley Kudick; Stella Biese; Greyson Denruyter, and Kannon Gerondale; sister, Marion Schauer; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jo (Dave) Szczepanski and Nancy Stone; brother-in-law, Jack (Linda) Stone and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her in-laws, Roy & Irene Stone; two brothers, Marty (Eileen) Liebergen and Jim (Mary Ellen) Liebergen; two brothers-in-law, Cletus Schauer and Jim Stone; sister-in-law, Carole (Jim) Roulette and granddaughter, Delaney Allcox.
Friends may call at Proko Wall Funeral Home, 1630 East Mason St, on Wednesday, December 15, from 4:00–7:00 PM. Prayer service 7:00 PM. Visitation to continue at Proko Wall on Thursday, December 16, from 8:30 until the cortege leaves at10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Thursday, December 16, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 710 N Baird St, with Rev. James Massart officiating. Burial in the Allouez Cemetery.
