Clifford Loritz

Clifford “Cliff” A. Loritz, 91, Florence resident, formerly of Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday evening, June 3, 2020.  He was born on August 23, 1928 in Green Bay to the late Peter and Agnes (DeBroux) Loritz.  On January 15, 1952, he married Lucille (Radue) Cherney.  She preceded him in death on April 22, 1979.  On February 25, 1983, Cliff married Patricia Rukamp.  Cliff worked at Green Bay Canning for many years. He was involved in several businesses including owning and operating Cliff and Ceil’s Bar & Ballroom, Loritz Trucking, flocked and sold Christmas trees, and from 1969 to 1976, he was a Viking snowmobile dealer. Cliff supported his son, Dale throughout his snowmobile racing career – Cliff and Ceil’s Racing Team, and raised horses, conducted horse shows, and pony pulls with his daughters, Sharon, Lynn, Cindy, Brenda, and Nancy. 

 He is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Sharon (Mike) DeGrave, Lynn (Lyle) Koenig, Cindy (Dave) Van Pay, Brenda (John) Mleziva, Nancy (Cindy Schaefer) Loritz and Dale (Debbie) Loritz; grandchildren, Dena (Mark) Gullickson, Doug (Karma) Koenig, Kim (Jason) Johnson, David Lee (Cathy) Van Pay, Vicky (Brian) Brittnacher, Dawn Van Pay, Jesse (Theresa) Mleziva, Brian (Amanda) Mleziva, Holly (Preston) Hajny, Trevor Loritz and Brooke (Connor) Bradshaw; 14 great grandchildren; step-daughters, Cheryl Corrigan, Kathy (Tom) Buechler, Sue (Chuck) Hoogland and Brenda (Jim) Nelson; step-son, Mark (Amy) Rukamp; 12 step-grandchildren; and 22 step-great grandchildren; brother, Tim (special friend, Gloria) Loritz; sisters-in-law, Eunice Loritz, Jane Loritz, Donna Loritz and Mary Lou Cherney; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Loritz; grandson, Benjamin Mleziva; brothers, Ralph, Cyril and Phillip Loritz; brother-in-law, Basil Cherney

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Entombment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
