David A. “Dave” Hansford, 77, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. He was born July 25, 1945, to Allen and Helen (Sager) Hansford. After graduating from East High School in 1963, Dave served his country in the U. S. Army from 1965 to 1967, stationed in Germany. On August 30, 1991, he married Janet “Jan” (Danielski) Lax. Dave worked for many years at Paper Converting. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, golfing, bowling and playing baseball.
Dave is survived by his wife, Jan; a son, Todd (Edie) Hansford; stepchildren, Lori (Tim) Meyers, Debbie (Dale) Loritz, Sherri (Mike) Daniels, Kory (Kelli) Lax, Jay (Tracie) Lax and Scott (Kathleen) Lax; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Chuck (Nancy) Hansford; a sister-in-law, Jill Rowan; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a son, Scott Hansford.
A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest in Shrine of the Good Shepherd. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family and online condolences may be sent to www.prokowall.com.
