David L. Cardin, 70, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 17, 2023. He was born May 13, 1952, in Green Bay to the late John and Phyllis (McDermit) Cardin.
David was a graduate of Preble High School, Class of 1970. On April 29, 1972, he married Maureen Keenan at St. Norbert Chapel in De Pere, and together enjoyed 50 years of marriage. David worked for over 40 years for Green Bay Packaging. Family was important to David especially time with his grandchildren. He loved to travel, enjoyed the family trips to Disney World, riding his motorcycle, especially in the Fall to watch the leaves change on the trees, going to movies, listening to music, and playing movie and music trivia. David also volunteered at the St. Mary’s Roller Rink. He will be remembered for his sense of humor (bad dad jokes), love of cars and technology, and for being a great person.
David is survived by his wife, Maureen; his children, Dan (Paige) Cardin and Sherie (Charles) Osmond; his grandkids, Onyx and Olive Osmond, and Walter Cardin; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lana Cardin, Terry Cardin, Mary (Gene) Vannieuwenhoven, Kathy (Tom) Heinan, Tom (Wendy) Keenan, Tony Keenan, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Chris and Steve.
Friends may call at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Road, on Monday, January 23rd from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev.
