Donald D. Kakac, 92, Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. He was born on February 28, 1931, in Cresco, Iowa to the late Victor and Blanche (Frazier) Kakac. Donald served his county with the United States Army from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1951. On June 15, 1958, he married Janet Toebe at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay. She preceded him in death on July 14, 2021. Donald worked at Procter and Gamble (formerly Charmin) as a plant manager for over 30 years. He loved to go fly fishing and taking care of his grandchildren. Donald enjoyed fixing watches and clocks. He would even build clocks from scratch and give them to family and friends.
He is survived by his three children, Natalie (David) Parsons, Marsha (Michael) Herlache and Cynthia (Jerry Earley) Kakac; grandchildren, Benjamin Herlache, Nick Kramer, Elizabeth Kramer, Daniel Kramer and Mike Kramer; brother, Carroll (Karen) Kakac; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sister.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, at New Hope Presbyterian Church, 2401 Deckner Ave., from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church with Pastor Jared Van Noord officiating. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
