Donna B. Williams, 84, Green Bay, formerly of Ishpeming, MI, passed away on Sunday evening, October 29, 2023. She was born on November 24, 1938, in Ishpeming, MI, to the late Samuel and Emily (Wood) Hill. She graduated from National Mine High School in Ishpeming, MI. She then attended Northern Michigan University obtaining her degree to be a Licensed Practical Nurse. On August 3, 1956, she married Richard Williams in Ishpeming, Mi. He preceded her in death in April of 1983. Donna worked as an LPN for the Health Department in Marquette, Michigan and then at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay as an LPN for many years until her retirement. Her hobbies included breeding and showing Persian cats. Donna also enjoyed singing. She loved spending time with her family and never missed an opportunity to attend the activities of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Donna cherished the time with them.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Umentum; grandchildren, Monica Parma and Rebecca (Brett) Brown; great grandchildren, Sebastian Fulton, Alan Brown, Amber Parma, Devin Parma and Damon Parma; great great grandchildren, Serenity Parma, Ares Parma and Alana Sprangers; sister, Connie Valente; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Judy (Fred) Sakel; and brother-in-law, Stewart Valente.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Funeral service 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 801 Hemlock St., Ishpeming, MI 49849, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral Service 12:00 noon (all times eastern) at the church.
