Dorothy Mancheski

It is with sad hearts we have to announce the passing of Dorothy Mancheski early Monday morning, January 2, 2023. She was born April 25, 1930, the youngest of nine, to the late Joseph and Mary (Dantoin) Derenne. She graduated from Brussels High School in 1948, salutorian of her class. Dorothy married Gene Mancheski on February 3, 1967. He preceded her in death  on March 2, 2010.

Dorothy was employed as a salesclerk for the H.C. Prange Company and in 1953 began selling Stanley Home Products. She truly enjoyed sales work, meeting new people, and recruiting for the Stanley sales program. She became the top regional division manager for many years. Her husband Gene joined her and together they won many top national sales awards.

Dorothy loved traveling, playing cards, and reading. She enjoyed all the times spent with family making memories and sharing stories. She loved and admired her many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Hank (Pat) Mencheski and many special nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her siblings: Goldie (Ethel) Derenne; Norris (Arvella) Derenne; Jennie (Ray) Baudhuin; Joseph (Anna) Derenne; Josie (Arnold) Prevost; Irene (John) Holsbach; Clem (Teresa) Derenne and Walter (Rosemary) Derenne; she is further preceded by in-laws: Wayne Mancheski; Robert Mencheski and Donald Mencheski.

Friends may call at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane on Thursday, January 5, from 9:30 -10:45 am. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Thursday at the church with Rev.
