“A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. It brings people together again and again.” – Maya Angelou

Dr. Kenneth “KC” Sturgis, 74, passed away unexpectedly early morning on October 28th, 2021, of cardiac arrest in his home in Green Bay, WI. KC was a passionate chiropractor whose generosity knew no limits, had a contagious zest for life, and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who always made everyone around him laugh.

KC Sturgis was born to Kenneth Leroy Sturgis and Florence Viola Sturgis on March 4, 1947, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1965. He was proud to serve as an Army Veteran during the Vietnam War stationed in Barstow, CA. It was at the University of Stevens Point where he not only received his Bachelors, but met the love of his life, Pam Delchambre, who he married on May 31st, 1973. He became a high school biology and chemistry teacher and was actively involved in the community and coached the Rhinelander ski team.Having an avid interest in health, he went on to receive his doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

He opened his own chiropractic practice in Green Bay, WI in 1982 and was beyond devoted to his community. His patients meant everything to him. Wanting nothing more than for everyone’s wellbeing, he cherished any moment to help with a generous spirit and compassionate heart.

Without regard to the weather, KC never passed up an opportunity to take a dip in Lake Michigan or a ski trip to the UP or Rocky Mountains. Rain or shine, he never missed his daily morning walk. He had a zest for life and brought light to any situation. He loved taking day trips to Door County Wisconsin with his wife Pam to walk along the wooded trails in Peninsula Park and polish off the day with a delicious fish boil. Often stopping for one-too-many cups of coffee along the way, a short trip always became an adventurous outing. KC believed in experiencing the world and was proud to take special trips to visit his daughter Sonya in Colorado, and Katrina in California.

KC is survived by his wife Pamela, his daughter Sonya Sturgis, his daughter Katrina Murphy along with her husband Derek Murphy and three grandchildren, Silas, Sienna and Sage Murphy.

KC was a man who lived well, laughed often and loved much.

Dad, you’re now on your biggest adventure yet… a “Spirit in the Sky.”
