Duane W. Pike

Duane W. Pike (88) passed away on July 24, 2022.  He was born on April 4, 1934, in rural Redgranite, Wisconsin, to Leslie and Ila Pike.  He was a graduate of Berlin High School and the Graduate School of Banking, Madison, Wisconsin.  On June 19, 1955, Duane married Kathryn Jorgensen in Poy Sippi, Wisconsin.  Duane started his 35-year banking career in Poy Sippi, Wisconsin in 1952 and worked at various community banks in Wisconsin. The last 10 years of his working career were spent in the insurance division at Denmark State Bank.  Dad enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing cards, golfing, and watching old westerns.  He was a lifelong Brewers fan and a Packers season ticket holder. He also enjoyed dancing polkas and waltzes with Mom.  He was proud of the 20 years he spent as a volunteer at Bellin Hospital. Duane and Kathryn were charter members of Atonement Lutheran Church and actively participated in church life.

Duane is survived by his three children, Susan (David) Diel, Tom (Sue) Pike, Sharon (Todd) Schindler, three grandsons, Alexander (Mallorie) Schindler, Brian Pike (finance Haley), and Jared Pike, and one great granddaughter, Isla Schindler.  He is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Mary Wedman and Joan (Lavern) Alf, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn, father, Leslie, mother, Ila, brother, Harold, daughter Lori Lynn, and grandson Corey Schindler.

A memorial service will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2132 Deckner Avenue, Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Saturday, July 30, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Matt Seegert officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Memorials gifts may be directed to Atonement Lutheran Church or Bellin Health Foundation.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
