Frances G. Treu, 92, currently a Green Bay resident and formerly of The Villages in Florida, died at a local hospital Sunday, June 26, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was born January 1, 1930, in Milwaukee to the late Victor and Elizabeth (Bruno) Gagliano. Frances married Donald Treu on April 21, 1951, in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2005.

Don had a career in the railroad transportation industry and because of that, had to move their family numerous times throughout his career. Their final move was to Cincinnati, Ohio where Don lived at the time of his retirement. Both Don and Fran loved to golf, so after retirement in 1995, it only made sense to move to Florida where they could golf year-round. After Don’s passing, Fran remained in The Villages until moving to Green Bay in 2014.

Fran had a history of volunteering for numerous organizations wherever she lived, and not only enjoyed golfing, but bowling as well. She and Don loved to dance and always looked forward to a vacation when it involved a cruise. Fran took great pride in her children and grandchildren and was always the happiest when she could make memories with family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane (Steve) McClure, Bellevue and Chris (Mike) Kopec, Miamisburg, Ohio; four grandchildren: Adam McClure and his fiancé Diane Gajewski; Erin (Adam) LeGrave; Andrew (Lydia) Kopec and Matt Kopec; four great grandchildren: Cody and Adeline LeGrave and Hannah and Zoey Kopec; two sisters, Carmel Kubiayk, Milwaukee and Betty Tanski, Orlando, FL; nieces and nephews.

Fran was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie (Vicky) Gagliano; sister, Connie (Romie) Zylka; two brothers-in-law, Jerome Tanski and George Kubiayk.
