Gaylord “Baudie” Baudhuin

Gaylord “Baudie” W. Baudhuin, 82, Green Bay, passed away early Thursday morning, October 27, 2022.  He was born on October 9, 1940, in Algoma to the late William and Blanche (Wautlet) Baudhuin.  Baudie graduated from Premontre High School with the class of 1958.  After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving until his honorable discharge in 1966.  While serving in the Air Force and stationed in Spain, he met Amparo Perez Carretero Gil.  They were married on August 25, 1962, at La Purisima Catholic Church in Seville, Spain.  After his military service, Baudie worked as a police officer for the city of Green Bay for 36 years, retiring in 1995 as a Captain of Detectives.  Baudie loved to travel and was a true sportsman.  He was a very sociable person and could carry on a conversation with anybody.  Baudie was a fair and generous person to all.  He also enjoyed listening to old country music.

He is survived by his loving wife, Amparo; children, Cookie (Marcus) Phillips, Mary A. Baudhuin, and William (Julie Tatar) Baudhuin; grandchildren, Brittany (Sam) Mason and Steven (Sophie) Phillips; granddaughter, Isabella Mason; his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Esteban Perez Carretero, Ascension Perez Carretero and Guadalupe Perez Carratero; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Esteban Perez Gil and Amparo Carretero Chaves.
