Gerald “Jerry” Fictum

Gerald “Jerry” Fictum, 88, Green Bay, passed away on Monday morning peacefully in his sleep, September 26, 2022.  He was born on January 1, 1934, in Green Bay to the late Edward and Eleanore (Haws) Fictum.  He graduated from Denmark high school with the class of 1951. After high school Jerry proudly served his country with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. On October 25, 1958, he married Elrita Ronshausen at St. Tribius Catholic Church in Chicago.  Jerry was an air traffic controller for over 22 years at Midway and Austin Straubel airports. After the airline industry Jerry worked in the Insurance Industry before retiring after 22 years. Jerry enjoyed bowling, golfing, traveling and was also a skilled carpenter.

Jerry will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Rita; children, Michael (Nancy) Fictum, Brian (Rosann; Deceased) Fictum and Debbie Fictum; grandchildren, Christopher (Kati) Fictum, Justin (Kayln) Fictum, Kathleen (Jon) Borlee and David Fictum; one great grandchild, Bradford Borlee; and two on the way; his brother, Fr. Robert Fictum and nieces, relatives and friends. He is further survived by his special furry friend, Annie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward (Sandra) Fictum, Jr and daughter-in-law, Rosann Fictum.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr., from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.  Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Robert Fictum officiating and Rev. Michael Ignaszak and Rev. Tom Reynebeau concelebrating. Military Honors will follow.
