Jacqueline A. Berceau, 86, died Sunday, July 16, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 14, 1937, in Green Bay to the late Cliff and Nellie (Van Beynan) Kollman.
On November 13, 1954, Jacqueline married Tom Berceau in Denver, CO where he was stationed while serving in the U.S. Air Force. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1992, having enjoyed 37 years together. Jacqueline loved to travel. Her journeys included trips to Mexico, Africa, the Middle East, Hawaii, Greece, and Japan. She will be remembered for having a big heart and a great sense of humor, for being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved to plan adventures with family, was a very hard worker, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family.
Jacqueline is survived by her children, Mike (Mary) Berceau, Kathy (Pete) Arbeiter, Julie (Jeff) Rentmeester, Vicki (Hiro) Nakashima, Brenda (Kevin) Nelson, Linda (Scott) Semb, Lisa (Kevin) Charneski, and Tom (Tracey) Berceau; her 18 grandchildren, Misty (Jason) Aipperspach, Stacy Berceau, Crystal Berceau, Tara (Steve) Fabry, Shanna (Andy) Delmarcelle, Joe (Billie) Nakashima, Tim (Valerie) Nakashima, Lisa (Tony) Lindberg, Erika Nakashima, Katie Nelson, Ellie Nelson, Molly Nelson, Matt Nelson, Josie Semb, Will Semb, Jake (Bri) Charneski, Ben Charneski, Josh (Katie) Berceau, and Jaclyn Berceau; 28 great-grandchildren; her sister, Kathy (Bill) Neilson; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Theresa Berceau, Kate (Bill) Bowman, Susie (Chuck) O’Connor, Lois Servais; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by and infant son, James; her brothers and sisters-in-laws, Pat (Katie) Berceau, Darrell (Tony) Berceau, Claude (Susie) Berceau, Doris (Russell) Cotts, Mary (Jay) Shipla, Margie (Glen) Schiebel, Janet Berceau, Lyle (Marie) Zenz, Betty (Bob) Lefebvre, George Zenz, James (Zeke) Zenz, and Pete Berceau.
Friends may call at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria Street, on Thursday, July 20th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Jacqueline’s family extends a special word of thanks to Kathy and Pete Arbeiter who opened their home and provided care for mom over the past 10 years, and Fr. Adam, Beth Wagner, the staff of Heartland Hospice.
