James P. Tiesling, 47, Kaukauna resident, died at his home, Friday, January 7, 2022, following a lengthy illness. He was born July 12, 1974, in Green Bay to Lil (Petasek) Boettcher and the late Michael Tiesling. Jamie attended Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida, returning to Green Bay after graduation. He continued his education at Fox Valley Technical College in the Culinary Arts program, immediately beginning a career as a chef following graduation. Prior to his illness he was the general kitchen manager for Anduzzi’s. Jamie enjoyed following our state professional teams, The Bucks, The Packers and The Brewers. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and camping with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Tristin (Will) Poquette, Menominee, MI and Nathan Tiesling, Kaukauna; parents, Bill and Lil Boettcher, Bellevue; maternal grandmother, Clare Petasek, De Pere; brother, Jason (Tammy) Boettcher, Green Bay and sister, Michelle Paulson, De Pere; Godparents, Greg Tiesling and Joni Petasek; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Tiesling; brother, Matthew Boettcher; paternal grandparents, Robert and Bernice Tiesling; maternal grandfather, Norbert Petasek; aunt, Sue Tiesling and special friend, Kristine Kralovetz.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 15. Funeral Service 2:00 Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Steven Apfel officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund has been established in Jamie’s name.
