Jane M. Fontaine, 61, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 24, 2023. She was born December 16, 1961, in Manitowoc to Priscilla (Baumann) Fontaine and the late Kenneth J. Fontaine.
In 1981, Jane married Dan Konop. She later married Roy Hannon in 1999, and in 2013 she was married to Douglas Lax. Jane loved having a house full of people to cook for and spending time outdoors with her family while camping and fishing. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts of any kind, and being with her dogs (her “babies”). Most importantly she loved being a grandma and being with her grandchildren meant the world to her.
Jane is survived by her children, Michael Konop, Danielle Hannon, and Jonathan Hannon; her stepchildren, Breann and Chad; her grandchildren, Isabella, Sawyer, and Garrett; her mother, Priscilla Fontaine; her nephew and niece, Devin Fontaine and Erin Fontaine; and a sister-in-law, Roni Sue Fontaine.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Konop; a grandson, William; a daughter-in-law, Shantel Konop, and a brother, James Fontaine,
Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, on Tuesday, March 7th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friends may call again at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 8th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor David Hatch officiating.
