Jeanne Ellen (Blaha) Piippo, a longtime resident of Green Bay, passed away on June 26, 2023, at Century Ridge Elder Care in Green Bay, Wisconsin at age 77. She was a resident there for the past 4 years. Jeanne was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on December 29, 1945, to the late Hilda (Schisel) Blaha.
She attended school in Antigo and graduated in 1964. On June 13, 1964, she married the love of her life, Dan Piippo. They were married for 59 Years. Together they raised their three sons, Dan Jr., Jim and Duane.
Jeanne worked for a short time at Century Ridge Elderly Care and for several years at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay. She made many friends at both places and especially enjoyed working with the elderly.
She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, fishing perch in the Bay, shopping at garage sales, working in our flower shop with Duane, trips to casinos and cooking and baking for her family. She also enjoyed traveling with Dan to his various work project locations around the states along with trips to Alaska, Branson, and several National Parks. One of her most enjoyable occasions was her 2013 trip to Las Vegas with her three sisters; they had quite a time keeping tabs on her. She loved her friends and family dearly and will forever be in their hearts.
Jeanne is survived by her loving husband Dan along with their sons and spouses Dan Jr. (Claudia), Jim (Marie) and Duane (Eric) all from the Green Bay area.
She is further survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary (Tim) Wolf, Appleton; Sue (Brian) Lins, Waupaca and June Antone of Antigo, along with many nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her mother Hilda, and her adopted father, Emil Blaha. Also preceding her were her mother and father-in-law, Goldie and Wilho Aho; brother-in-law, Richard Antone and her loving dogs, Buffy and Pokey.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, July 5 and on Thursday from 9:30-11:00 am. Funeral Service Thursday at 11:00 am with Dcn Paul Umentum officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Ontonagon, Michigan at a later date.
