Jerry Raymond Huntley, 87, Green Bay, died Sunday, October 1, 2023. He was born December 30, 1935, to the late Cecil and Mary (Browning) Huntley. Jerry married Marian R. Becker on March 24, 1956. She preceded him in death on May 21, 2022. They have been residents of Green Bay most of their lives.
Jerry served in the US Navy from 1956 until his discharge in 1962, stationed at Whidbey Island, WA. Jerry was employed for most of his career at Wisconsin Public Service Corporation until his retirement. He was a past member of the Baylander Barbershop Chorus and enjoyed singing lead in their largest Octet, making many life-long friends. Jerry loved to laugh and share the joy of music with others.
He is survived by seven children and 16 grandchildren: Therese Tarkowski, and her son Tony; James Huntley and his sons, Christopher (Abby) and James (Michelle); Mary Wodack and her children, Nicholas, Laura, Kari, Brady and Carley; Catherine Ripp and her children, Alex and Mia; Carolyn (Dan) Rychwalski and their son, Brett; Jennifer Berendsen and her children, Rachel and Cole; Jeanine Rysewyk and her children, Ross, Kate and Reed. He was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Sally Wery and two sisters-in-law, Doris Reindl and Barbara Juckem.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Huntley and a sister, Patricia Berman; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
Visitation will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe Ave. on Friday, October 6, from 9:00-10:45 am. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Cathedral with the Rev. Brian Belongia officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
