Joan M. “Babe” Reimer, 84, Green Bay resident, died Sunday evening, July 16, 2023, at her home. She was born July 26, 1938, in Milwaukee to the late Elmer and Gertrude (Niquette) Behringer. Babe was a 1956 graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. She married Bernard Kleiman on March 23, 1957, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1996. Babe than married David “Pee Wee” Reimer on August 11, 2001, at St. Bernard Catholic Church

Babe drove school bus for 30 years in Manitowoc and for 11 years in Gleason, retiring in 2000.

She enjoyed spending time gardening and feeding and watching the birds at home and the cottage. Babe was also a seamstress making many of the children’s clothes as they grew up.

She enjoyed reading a good book and never missed a Packer game. Babe was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, a person strong in her faith and lived her life accordingly. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish.

She is survived by her husband David; her five children: Jacqueline (Gary) Brennan, Manitowoc; Rene’ (Michael) Viste, Grafton; Debra (Mark) Hansen, Manitowoc; Bud (Jamie Meins) Kleiman, Palm Bay, FL; Christopher (Tina) Kleiman, Melnik; four step-children: Mike (Beth) Reimer De Pere; Lisa (Dan) Schweiner, Green Bay; Tina (Gary) Ball, Eau Claire and Tricia (Paul) Wagner, Green Bay; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Behringer and William (Carol) Behringer; brother-in-law, Tom (Linda) Kleiman; sister-in-law, Maureen Miller; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert (Joan) Behringer.

Friends may call at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane, on Friday, July 21, from 9:00-10:45 am. Funeral Mass 11:00 am Friday at the church with Rev. Adam Bradley officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Online condolences may be sent to Joan’s family at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund has been established in her name.
