Joanne (Jaklin) Linssen, age 86, Town of Eaton, died March 23, 2023. I was born April 30, 1936, in Preble, WI to the late Wenzel and Irene (Leurquin) Jaklin.  On November 20, 1954, I married the love of my life, Merlin Linssen, and we had 54 years together. I loved bonfires, playing 500 Rummy and Sheepshead with family and in-laws.  I also enjoyed painting faded lawn ornaments, coloring, crosswords and puzzles. I truly loved babysitting my grandchildren and great grandchildren.  I loved cooking for the whole family.

Joanne is survived by her 5 children, Shelly (Don) Corrigan, Marcia (Al) Andrews, Rick Linssen and Ann Jahnke, Ron Linssen and Lori Pravechek and Deana (Bob) Reed.  Grandchildren, Chad (Allison) Corrigan, Danielle (Tim) Kerkhoff, Brian (Sara) Corrigan, Stephanie (Chad) Miller, Jamie (Katie) Van De Hei, Tiffany Linssen, Riley Linssen and Chelsea Novinska, Walker Linssen and Matti Farias, Kylee Linssen and Kyle Markvart, Cody (Shantelle) Reed, Ciara (Marshall) Pennings, Blaise Reed and Lauren Yindra.  Great Grandchildren, Brad Corrigan and Maggie Erickson, Jenna Corrigan and Mason Kussow, Austin, Nick and Megan Kerkhoff, Reese and Breea Corrigan, Aubriella and Brayden Schmidt, Dominic and Brandon Miller, Grace, Devon and Dawson Van De Hei, Kayden and Aryia Hagemeister, Brinley and Baylor Reed, Lincoln, Lane and Callum Pennings, and future baby, Everleigh Markvart.

She is further survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Eunice Jaklin, Eunice Kocken, Carol Linssen, Mary Rukamp, Ralph Linssen, Ruth and Bob Beining, Beverly and Dick Huxford, Ken and Carla Linssen, Special Friends, Eunice Loritz and Cathy Kaster, many Nieces and Nephews.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin, parents Wenzel and Irene Jaklin, brothers Merlin, Clayton, Harley and Eldon Jaklin, sister Janet (Howard) VandenLangenberg, Jane Jaklin, Arlene Jaklin.

Mother and Father-in-law, Charles and Mayme Linssen, brothers and sisters-in-law, Gabriel Linssen, Alvina and Leonard Schoessow, Marsella and Russell Schmude, Norbert and Bea Henrigillis, Luke and Lorraine Albers, Walter Kocken, Donald Rukamp, Nancy Linssen, Joyce Linssen and Bernard Linssen.

Visitation for Joanne will be held at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Monday, March 27, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Bill Burkel officiating. Joanne will be entombed at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. A memorial will be established in Joanne’s name. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.
