John C. White Jr., age 95, passed away at his home on Monday, July 29, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones and his Priest.

John was born on December 15, 1923, to the late John Curtis White Sr. and Agnes White (Tate) of Hueytown, AL. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, three sisters and his son John J. White.

John is survived by his wife of 76 years, Thelma, his children: Gaylen Collard (Jean-Marc), Sybil Dale (Gary-deceased), Jessica White, Paula Hutson (Tim), Stephanie White, Mary Roskowski (Dan), Philip White (Sara), 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

At the age of 17 he enlisted in the United States Navy. He proudly served his country as a World War II Naval Aviator, flying PBY’s and training new pilots before their deployment overseas. Following his discharge from the US Navy, John settled in Green Bay with his wife Thelma.

John worked as a sales engineer and eventually purchased Beemster Electric and then BIS Automation and acted as C.E.O. where he continued to work daily until his passing. He was known to everyone he met as a “Straight shooter” and you always knew where you stood with John White.

John was also known for his charity, especially to those who were less fortunate. He quietly helped others and never wanted praise. He loved the Catholic religion and supported the religious. Sisters and Nuns who continued to wear the traditional habit were always an inspiration for him as he would frequently say, “they walk the talk”. He was a friend to many Priests and always wanted them to be taken care of.

He showed his love for the Traditional Latin Mass and through his continuous support and efforts, was instrumental in keeping the celebration of the Latin Mass ongoing in Green Bay to this day. John also had a special devotion to the Holy Souls in Purgatory and the Blessed Virgin Mary. One of his last requests was that he would hope that people would continue to pray for the repose of his soul. Requiescat in Pace.

The entire White family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Jessica Rose Dale, RN  (Granddaughter), Dr. Nurudeen Lawal, Dr. Christopher Dale (Grandson) and Dr. Scott Stillwell. Thank you for getting John home.

Also, to Reverend Canon Antoine Boucheron of St. Patrick’s Oratory, Claire and Anne (Terri) Le Mere for their generous gift of love, time and support.
