John “Jack” McDonough, 18, beloved son and grandson died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, December 3, 2022. He was welcomed into the arms of the Lord and united with his little sister Caroline Rose. Jack was born on September 22, 2004, in New Richmond, Wisconsin to Carrie (Baeten) Harrison and Daniel McDonough. Jack was currently a senior at Green Bay Southwest High School and will be missed by his family and close friends who cared very deeply for him.
Jack was an adventurous, outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed fishing and hunting with his Dad and friends. He also spent many hours with friends wrenching on cars, making modifications and replacing parts. Jack always looked forward to spending time with his Grandma and Grandpa Baeten who held a special place in his heart. Jack was a kind and loving son, a true “giver” and made himself available to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his parents, Carrie and his step-father Ryan Harrison, Allouez; Daniel and his step-mother Stacey, Queen Valley, AZ; Step sisters, Ella and Elizabeth Harrison; half-sister, Dani McDonough; maternal grandparents, Ron and Carolyn Baeten, De Pere; step-grandparents, Anne and Scott Dettmann, Bellevue; step-grandfather, Guy Harrison, Green Bay; step-grandparents, Thomas and Susan Stoll, uncle and Godfather, John and Tesa Baeten, Bloomington, IN; uncle, Michael Harrison and his partner, David Gerzin, Green Bay.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Sandy McDonough and step-grandmother, Kathy Harrison.
A private funeral service was held on Saturday, December 10, at Proko-Wall Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Kabat officiating. Online condolences may be sent to Jack’s family at www.prokowall.com.
