Jordan Edward Hebel, 95, passed away at Anna’s House in New Franken on March 10, 2023. He was born in Denmark on October 1, 1927, to Edward and Beatrice (Olson) Hebel. Jordan served in World War II and was very proud to be a Marine. He loved meeting with his fellow veterans on a weekly basis.
On August 16, 1947, he married Margaret “Peggy” Stokes. Peggy preceded him in death on April 8, 2016. The two were blessed with four daughters.
Jordan worked for Schneider Transport for 28 years. A favorite part of his job was the work Schneider did for the Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by his four daughters, Tina (Bill) Peterson, Valerie (Rick) Dalebroux, Holly (Anne Fiorello) Hebel and Michelle (Tom) Bomske; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Terry (Betty) Hebel; sisters-in-law, Sue Hebel and Kathy Stokes; a brother-in-law, Ed Schumacher; some very special nieces and nephews.
In addition to his beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a great-grandson; brothers and sisters; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. Thursday at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry St., where Jordan had been a member for 70 years. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church with Pastor David Hatch officiating and full military honors will complete the services.
