Judy Marie Turrittin, 85, of Cecil passed away on June 6, 2023, at Autumn Leaves of Franklin. She was born on May 23, 1938, in Luxemburg to the late Felix and Margaret (Rank) Glime. She graduated from St Joseph’s Academy in 1956 and moved to Milwaukee. There she met many lifelong friends, including her future husband. On April 20, 1968, Judy married Frederick Turrittin. She was a devoted wife and mother, always willing to stand in as tutor, antiquing partner or chauffeur.
Judy was an energetic, strong sister, friend, wife, and mother who loved to dance and have fun. Her family was the most important part of her life. Judy’s time with her sisters is something she always cherished. She was eager to help wherever needed; be it, serving at their church, building a friends house, planning a holiday party for her daughters class or getting up at 4 a.m. to cook chicken booyah. Judy loved to travel and explore God’s world. She and Fred, along with so many friends and family enjoyed seeing places from Alaska to the Florida Keys all the way to the Mts. of Europe. Judy was very active and health conscience, exercising and walking daily and taking care of those around her. She had fond memories of her childhood on the farm in Luxemburg which carried through to her retirement when she was a volunteer at Red River Riders, walking and brushing horses. Judy’s faith was unwavering even as her health faltered. For many years our memories were held close to our hearts as she slowly faded away.
Judy will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Dawn (Larry) Fleuchaus, and Claudine (Matt Horswill) Turrittin; one granddaughter, Brooklyn Fleuchaus; two sisters; Darlene Brunette, and Carol (Tim) Limberg, sister-in-law, Dorothy Turrittin; nieces and nephews: Susan (Earl); Robert; Debbie (Al); Bonnie; and Cheri (Tim).
In addition to her parents Judy was preceded in death by her husband Fred; sister, Mary; nephews, Mark Turrittin and Doug Turrittin and brothers-in-law, James Turrittin and Gordon Turrittin
