Julie K. Fossum, 78, Green Bay, was born to Harold and Pat Fossum of Green Bay and raised in the Astor Park Neighborhood. She graduated from Green Bay East High School and then attended Carroll College where Julie graduated with a degree in education. She earned her master’s in Special Education upon finishing graduate school. Julie served the Green Bay public schools as a teacher for over 40 years. Most of her time was spent serving Webster school where she truly found her passion teaching children. She married John Winter and they had a son Karl in 1978. Karl followed his mother’s example of service and is currently serving in the USAF as a fighter pilot.
Julie is survived by her son, Karl and his wife, Nicole and their three daughters, Elise, Anika, and Gretchen. She was surrounded by many friends whom she considered family. Tim Caldie consistently supported her parents, Harold and Pat, and he carried that on for Julie. Rosario also helped care for her daily for the past 20 years.
